The dial of this Seiko Prospex Speedtimer is the official brand colour of the championships. ‘Edo-Murasaki’, meaning Tokyo Purple, is one of Japan’s official traditional heritage colours – originally from a textile dye using purple grass native to Musashino during the period when Tokyo was known as Edo.
The caseback of the Prospex Speedtimer features the World Athletics Championship Tokyo 2025 logo, and the limited edition number. This solar powered chronograph watch is conveniently charged from both natural and electric light and its chronograph functionality allows for the accurate measurement of elapsed time. Powered by an in-house V192 solar-charged movement, accurate to +/- 15 seconds per month, with a 6 month power reserve at full charge, it’s water resistant to 100m.
Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications.’ Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.”
